I partly agree with you guys. I wouldn't either open a mechanical watch because there isn't anything i can do with it. BUT, my watch is a quartz and even a monkey could change the battery if there is a case opener availible. As said before i don't have warranty on it. I would also NEVER take a bath or swim with expensive watch like this. I don't want to risk it. There are people that destroyed their watches with water even thoug it has been pressure tested.
So because of these reasons i see no meaning of paying hilarious money for a battery change.
It's a shame that people belive that it's something magic with opening a watch but there isn't.
