I have a custom white/brown python strap that alternates between the SA and the 6.75s. Works very nice for me. This strap however, is ABP.

The strap looks nice mind, but am after geniune material without the breitling ridiculous price croco :(

if you're after Croco without the Breitling price i do recommend getting from The Watch Boys. TWB probably has the best $100 OEM Replacement Croco Straps around... that are always available on a constistant basis. You can also try scoring some Di-Modell or Hirsch Alligator straps off random Timezone sellers, they have some good ones too.

I do like Bob straps too.. if you go to their site http://www.waccex.de its actually cheaper than buying from their ebay store. ;)

Aleister, that ABP python is beautiful... but I think far from Cheap ;)

WOW just checked the APB website! some amazing straps on there and completely customizeable! the best in my opinion but price is obviously on the high side to.

Bob straps - not a massive selection and not many GENIUNE material straps. good prices!

APB - LOTS of choice, customization, geniune materials, higher prices though.

Panatime - Lots of choice, geniune materials, cheap prices

Think panatime is going to be my best option based on the above

Thanks a lot Admin, and no, it wasn't the cheapest strap I've bought.

sufcdan - Thanks too! Glad to see you found the ABP site. They are excellent to work with, but indeed a bit on the higher price end.

Tubes are mainly not for Breitling but if they fit your watch you can use them and then just use the springbars inside the tubes. I have ordered this strap that came with tubes:

The tubes fitted the width of the watch so I could have just put the 24 mm springbars inside them, but...

The strap was fairly thick, so with the tubes mounted the hole came too far out for the springbars to fit the watch head. The only thing I could do was to push the tubes out, and then use the springbars directly.

Summary: No screws, keep the tubes if you want, and as you order a 24 mm strap you will need 24 mm springbars too. But you can always use the springbars you already have.

Aleister - Lovely taste in straps! Where did you get that last one from??? is that real croco too???

So i just need the 24mm strap and 24mm spring bars (although i could use the existing ones) no tube needed

Don't use bracelet springbars for straps. The strap ones are slightly thicker and for the sake of a dollar or so you may as well get the right ones.

Thanks again sufcdan!

The last one is indeed real croco, it's a baby hornback croco strap, honey tan, from JnS-strap.

Yes, you're right, you don't really need the tubes. Using them (provided they fit) might prolong the life of the strap though.

Theoretically the springbar might "see-saw" its way through the strap, but I have never experienced this. Using a tube would help protect the strap as the pressure from the springbar would be more distributed, ie cause less wear. Theoretically, that is.

Nice Aleister! Is that a SanDave Hornback strap?

Do NOT use tubes with springbar watches.. if you can even get them in, they will not come out because you can't release the spring bar anymore because it will cover the edges of it. If you use a tube that is smaller, like 22mm tube with a 24mm lug width spring bar it should be okay, but it makes removing the strap much more difficult.

Best to just get Thicker springbars to prevent that gap and movement in the strap holes.

Of course you're right regarding the tubes Admin - didn't think of that. If my strap would have been thinner I would probably learned that it would be very difficult to fit it (and even harder to remove).

The hornback is made by Jason at JnS-strap, they're based in Singapore. I was looking for a TedSu one, but then other circumstances made me end up in Singapore instead.
