Hi Guys,

My name is Peter and I'm new to Breitling world. Actually I have feeling about Breitling since long time ago (Navitimer World), but always back and forth for buying it, everytime I travel abroad I always went to Bretling store, admiring, bidding, etc. but end up with no buying. We also have Breit AD here but they dont carry so many product range.

BUT yesterday, finally I've made up my mind, I ORDER IT at Breitling AD here! :guns: :boingb: YEEHAAA!!! I feel so relieved!.

It is Breitling Navitimer World in black dial with brown calfleather. But the watch is not ready and they told me to wait max 3 weeks for the watch to come.

I hope I made good decision, I really like the watch, and just wanna share my happiness to all of you guys. I'm new to Breitling world and forums so this is also my introduction post too. I also need your opinion about my decision to buy Navi World as my 1st Breitling, is it good decision or not, or shud I get another serie instead of Navi World.

I will take good picture when I get the watch and share it here.

oh really? glad to hear that br549, now I think I will really love it. I also just read that it has quite strong resale value compared to other models. So it seems good from all aspects.

Welcome. That is really a good looking watch. Pics soon please. Also, the resale means very little unless you plan to sell it. Don't try to rationalize this. Who cares what time it is anyway. I (we, I think I am not alone) only care what time looks like!! Enjoy your watch. Also, start saving for another. They are addicting.

Hi,

I just got called from Breit AD that I will get serial number 4508 B4. It means the watch produced (finished) on 45th week on year 2008, right? Is it good or is it bad? has anyone know which one is better, the older production date or the newer, for navi world?

Welcome aboard.
Serial# is different than manufacture date. It is 45th week of 2008. indeed and there's really no difference between older and newer production of the World.

Good then, if no difference between old and new then I think the newer the better.

Believe it 100% They are addicting. I'm drooling for #2!!!! As for re selling the watch if your like me you are probably going to pass it on to kids later!!!! I am having a second son soon so I FEEL ITS MY DUTY to get a second ling just to make things fair! :lingsrock:

In my opinion you made an excellent choice for a 1st Breitling. Sorry you have to wait. I recently ordered a Navitimer World but only had to wait about a week for it on the blue Croco strap. I also ordered the Navitimer bracelet & that will take a few more weeks to get.

one more things I forgot to ask, what is meant by chambered sapphire crystal? what is the difference from normal sapphire? is it like 2 crystal with hollow inside? I found it only in Breitling.
