Hello all,

may i enquire what models are there in the Breitling Emergency lineup?
Are there old and newer editions?

(I am not looking at the Emergency Mission, but purely at the Emergency lineup).

Photos will be very much appreciated.
Thank you!

If you are discounting the Emergency Misssion, then in the Emergency line-up there is one model - the "Emergency", funnily enough.

This watch is available in titanium or gold (I think there's a white gold option too), and has a variety of dial colour options, including yellow and black. Check out the Breitling website (www.Breitling.com) for the various colour combinations available. Or have a look at the online model configurer tool on the Japanese website - www.Breitling.co.jp. (Don't worry you don't need to understand Japanese to use it!)

Like all current Breitling models it is equiped with a Chronometer rated movement, but this wasn't always the case, so there are likely to be a few older models out there on the second hand market with non-Super quartz movements.

Hello Raptor,

since the Emergency came on the market, it has been continuosly modified and updated. But when sending it in for a battery change or service, the watch will be brought to actual standard (except SQ and Chronometercertification). There are hundreds of special series of the model, as Breitling used to be willing to make special dials for as few as 5 watches. I am not sure, what the minimum quantity is at the moment.

In the next years I expect a change, as the frequency 121,5 MHz will loose its importance.

BG

My dad left me his Breitling Emergency watch. I figured out how to set the time, but that's about it. I can't find the box with the instructions in it. Anyone know how to work this thing? Most watches I can figure out but not this one. An y help would be great.

Just be careful so you don't "figure out" the transmitter as well. That might be expensive... I think the best way is probably to visit your closest AD, show him the watch and kindly ask him to show you how to set it. I'd be glad to help you with the settings myself if I only had an Emergency.

That sounds weird. It's understandable that they don't know all their models by heart, but with any pride in them they should at least help you figure it out. Should be quite easy for them to contact Breitling and get assistance...

Now the store called today and said Breitling only gives one book per watch so I'm back to square one. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone know where I can get a booklet?

Too late now but a manual has recently sold on the Bay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Breitling-Emergency-information-handbook-156-pages_W0QQitemZ290194651452QQihZ019QQcategoryZ31387QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Probably less than Breitling would charge!
