Breitling Owner.... SOMETHING MISSING IN MY LIFE...

As a Breitling owner I have a certain image to uphold in the community.

Unfortunately, as has been mentioned here, I only drive a Honda Accord.

Whilst the truth is that the Japanese beat the Europeans at cars many years ago.... there are the eternal "badge snobs" who will insist nothing but a European will do. Personally I love our Honda Accord. Honda has always been expensive in Australia. When I bought a brand new BMW 318i E30 in 1991 (the last of the E30 series), a Honda Accord was almost the same price.

Today in Australia the price of the Honda Accord is something of a bargain.

In America the Honda Accord is regarded as a good car. Nothing special or fantastic.

I am searching for that "special" ingrediant..... a car to appease the badge snobs and also to act as a prop to my photographs.

Nothing worse than showing off (....I mean displaying) our Louis Vuitton luggage in our car only to be humbled by a comment about our choice of transport.

Obviously European cars are trouble and I could never do away with the Honda Accord. I do actually need a car to get from A to B and a European car can never guarantee this!

I would like to here comment from the forum.... we are surrounded by plastic surgeons, corporate lawyers (oh goodie) and presumably other sales professionals.

What should I get?

Firstly - My loyal Honda Accord.
Displaying a token ribbon for the marriage of a friend. A sign of respect and also a way of ensuring we get a park right at the front of the church!

2 Current choice - both very different. I wanted to spend about AU$50,000 (about 25,000 GBP).

1) Jaguar E Type series II - 2+2. I would like a spot for the kids and 2+2 has always been the ugly dog of the e type range.... trendy but loathered in the same token!

2) Mercedes Benz E320 - Say a 50-60,000 km car, dealer serviced, 4 or 5 years old.... surely this should still have a few years left?
