hello i recently asked my AD for a dial change on my CA M1, and after asking around here for prices, i got really impressed when my AD gave me the prices for my request, so dial change and also new set of hands 135€, not returning the old dial and hands + 50€ of quick service, battery change polish and tests of water

bottom line 185€ for the full request, not that bad

what do you guys think?

Given usual dial costs, and the general insistence on a full service I would say that is absolutley incredible.

I'm assuming that you were asking for a new version of your original dial rather than a style change, and if that's correct then it would seem pretty clear that they are just trying to discourage colour changes with some of hte common quotes of $1,000+.

they told me about the full service but i said that i cant afford it right now  , and told them i will send the watch for a full service in 2010 they said ok! no problem!!, also when the time comes i give the watch to the local AD so no shipping costs on sending it to Breitling central Workshops in Portugal

almost to good to be true, i really had the idea that they were going to ask me for a kidney for a dial change

for around 250 us dollars i have the job done, the 2008 latest dial, new hands, quick service and polish as well

the only drawbacks were around 60/75 days of waiting because they have to ask to the factory the dial in question, so they kept my contact so when the dial arrived they call and ask to send the watch, that is also cool so i can wear the watch meantime

great service so far :lingsrock:

 That is a frankly AMAZING price. I guess it's another example of inconsistency across the globe. Here in the UK I was quote a ludicrous figure when I enquired about changing a Monty Legende dial from bronze to black. (Basically I saw a bronze dial model for a great price, but I really wanted the black dial). I was also told the watch would have to have a full service even though it was less than 2 months old. In the end the cost was the deciding factor against me buying the watch.
