Ok. I was traveling for a few days and just got the official BUSA work order from my AD which BUSA faxed to them.

According to the document, the Bezel was dented, the case was dented, the chimney was dented (what's that?), riders were dented (again, no idea what that is) and the crystal was scratched.

Sorry - but you'd have to be a complete moron to accept a watch from a customer that's not working and not notice that much damage. All of those pieces were replaced (at no cost to me).

Never got a full apology from my AD and just ordered my new Panerai from the dealer down the street.

I do love my BlackBird though - I still marvel at the watch.

The chimney is the part of the case that holds the crystal and protrudes up slightly higher than the bezel..... like a chimney. The riders (or more correctly "rider tabs") are the raised parts of the bezel at 12, 3, 6 and 9.
