Hello all,

The applied logo on the clasp of the pilot bracelet that came with my evo came off. How or when I haven't a clue. This can't be right. On a high quality timepiece like Breitling I would think it would be affixed better. Can I get a clasp with the engraved/stamped logo? Thanks.

Applied logos are new, they always used to be stamped. Given that I am assuming that the watch is under warranty it might be worth taking it to the AD and see if they will do something. This is the first time I have ever heard of this problem.

Thanks for the reply Roffensian. The watch was purchased used, so no warranty. It was originally purchased at Fortunoff in September 2007. I guess I'll just bring it to an AD and see what they can do.

I'm curious about that, as I've wondered if my Breitling wings logo could possibly pop off someday way down the road. Is yours two-tone, with the wings gold? (yellow, or rose?) Or does the all-SS bracelet have an applied logo as well?

It's all stainless. I'll take a picture of the sad little spot where it used to be tomorrow so you can see.

New in Sept 07. Two year warranty = Sept 09.

However (sorry) my understanding is that warranty covers the watch not the bracelet/strap.

I would be happy to be corrected.

The fact that it was bought used is irrelevant Alan as you say - less than 2 years so still under warranty (unless originally purchased grey).

You are right about the warranty covering the watch, that's why I meant to imply in my original post that it was worth a conversation with the AD rather than an out and out claim - I wasn't clear.

I know that my AD wouldn't bat an eyelid, but also recognise that I don't necessarily have a 'typical' AD relationship.

Totally agree with Roff.

A good AD that you had a good relationship with (any sort ;_) would I would hope help.

I have heard of this happening a couple of times and sort of look at it as a design/production weakness as such I would think tat Breitling would sort out of good will.

I will definitely take it to an AD and see if they can help me out. I thought that since I was not the origional purchaser that the warrant was no good. I do have all the paper work and warranty booklet. Thanks for the help guys. I wall still get a picture up. I just bought a house and have been running around a lot.
