44-45mm B01 in an existing (updated dial perhaps) Chronomat would be awesome.

Just cant get my head around the new model unfortunately.

Display back World w/ B01 would be killer................ :lingsrock:

its too polished for a "bling" a breitling was made for the pro, whether it be in the air or under water, tacky comes to mind.

Windrider tradition is to be more polished. In fact, I'll say that although your thoughts seem on the surface to be accurate, most Breitlings are polished and heavily so. Think of them as dress blues for a pilot vs flight gear.

i think its 50/50, brietling was always brushed until a few years ago, i think the polished bling is almost out of fashion and will be an eye sore in a year or two.

I wouldn't agree on that.

At one of the Breitling Dealers in Las Vegas (don't remember the name or location now), I think it was the one that's between Wynn and Encore, but might be mistaken as I'm not sure if there is a dealer there, they had about a dozen or more B01's when I was there for my Bachelor party 2 months ago.. my best man was there roughly 3 weeks ago to see the B01 again and he told me that they had no more left as they were all sold. Now, Las Vegas might not be a good indicator of sales in normal towns where the purchasers are primarily locals, but it does tell you that while they aren't selling super quickly, they aren't selling as slow as say a Flying B.

If im not mistaken, the B01's are getting the same discounts as other models, right?
Isnt that most likely the reason that there arent any takers on a $4999 used watch that can be had brand new for about that price?

On a side note, I am one of the few that like the B01, though I can certainly understand other people's issues with it. As polarizing as our opinions are though, I have a feeling that weak sales of new B01's (assuming that sales are weak) can be more attributed to a horribly timed introduction with the current economic state.

B01s are available at the same discount as other models, but not as easy to get that discount - not all ADs are discounting it to the same extent so you have to shop around more.

The economy is certainly not helping, but if what I am hearing about delays in 2010 models because of a design rethink is true that implies that Breitling is getting some very definite feedback. I'm still not convinced that I sompletely believe that because it doesn't explain why there wouldn't be a B01 Navitimer (surely that design is being radically changed).

I was able to get a 13% discount on the purchase of mine.

As for the looks, I can probably fall into both camps. I like the dial, I hate the bezel. So much so, that I wouldn't have bought the watch if I didn't replace the bezel numbers with diamonds. One thing I do like about this watch is that it holds a wind/charge for a very long time. It seems to run almost twice as long as my other ling.

The time is to short for appriciation of the market but let us try two questions for the B01:

The first: The sale figures of the B01 are good or bad?
The second: Discounts not so high than in the past?

B01 sales are worse than expected and discounts, at least in some places, are just as good as for other models.

Is there any way we can find some legitimate sales figures for the BO1 since its introduction. Have any magazines or anything called a sales figure for the watch since its introduction.
