My dream has come true today guys! I Picked up my new Polished Blackbird today. 7-8 months of saving.... Im still tingling all over each time I look at it!!! In my opinion its the most stunning watch ive ever seen and I want no more. Its a strong thing to say but thats it for the mean time.

A big thanks to you guys over the past few months for all the information you have shared with me and everyone else. We all appreciate the time and effort you guys have given up in the forum. This has helped me in my search for watches and help me make the best choice.

Anyhow enough of me rabbiting on..... Here's some pictures. Just a few snaps for now, couldnt have the watch off my wrist for too long, started getting withdrawal symptoms!!!

Thanks again and all the best guys. Richard.

Great shots! I now believe I could live with either the polished or brushed.

Polished version was introduced at Basel 2008.

Congrats Coltwales - it's a great watch!

Do the pushers unsrew / screw lock to prevent activation under water? Also, do the pushers need to be screwed in to maintain water resistance?

I ask this question aswell mate. From what the guy in the shop told me its to stop you pushing them in whilst flying and using the watch as a timing instrument. They should Neva be left unscrewed. So I am guessing that they should be locked down while diving for obvious reasons. In the manual it also explains that they should always remain closed while underwater.

Courtesy of Roffensian from another thread wrote:
The job of the screwdown on the pushers is to prevent the operation of the pushers. This is done because the operation of the pushers while underwater compromises the water resistance of the watch.

In order to preseve the integrity of the water resistance rating it is only necessary to avoid operating the pushers underwater. It is best practice to screw down the pushers before going under water as that will prevent accidental operation of the pushers.

It makes no difference to the water integrity whether the chronograph is operational or not as long as the pushers were not depressed underwater.
