Just curious:

1. How many have scratches on their AR coating?

2. Has anyone ever scratched their crystal?
I think it would be pretty hard to do unless you worked with diamonds or diamond coated tools right?

:yeahthat for me too.

The AR coating is VERY tough. It's not some flimsy paint or anything. Yes it's not quite as hard as sapphire, but then not much is. Unless you are very unlucky, the AR should be more than adequate in terms of toughness for most people.

my top tip, either remove watch while in bed with a girl with a diamond ring or make her remove the ring, diamond trumps sapphire and AR

Nice "Top Tip" Alex!

I'm fine on both counts - firstly I always take my watch off in bed, and secondly I'm WAY too mean to buy my g/f a diamond ring!

Got a couple of tiny scratches on my Aerospace AR coating, although you have to look very very close. Don't know how they happened

All others are fine

I'd also like to know if anyones ever scratched a sapphire crystal

I must be Bear Grylls cause I have tons on scratches(even though they are small and almost unnoticeable in certain angles.

If I replace the crystal I will definitely take it off at night.

So moral of the story is to not give your girl a ring. Or don't even have a girl in the first place!

Or, perhaps, it simply needs to be earned more aggressively!
