Just wondering, what discount is normal with IWC? 10%, 20% or maybe even 30%?

In Australia, I believe it depends on the model.

Big Pilot.. not a cent. Aquatimer.. maybe 20%.

Jay's on the mark. I've done slightly better than 20% on a non-in-house model. As for in-house, don't know (yet) :D

Sorry I probably should've been more helpful in my last post on this thread!

For me there was a big fat ZERO in terms of money off my Big Pilot. The reason being that I had to wait a few months for it to arrive, and there was a list of people after me who were also after it. I only got this one because the guy ahead of me dropped out, or else I may have still been waiting. Supply and demand.

On a less desirable IWC, there may be some kind of discount to be had, but I certainly wouldn't bank on it here in the UK.

I'm pretty sure the Big Pilot is discounted from George, as for the exact percentage, I'm not sure.

I guess George must get more in stock then, because here in the UK it's a 2 to 3 month wait for each one. Thus there's always a list of people ready to snap one up when it comes in stock. And hence no discounts......

But then I guess that's possibly just the good ol' UK again.

I think so, I'm afraid. There's been one in the display case of each of the 3 or so IWC dealers I've visited here lately.

They still wont discount them here afaik (the BP). But why bother buying new from an AD here in Australia.

The RRP is $19k AUD!!.. jeebus!. Buy from TZ for $7500 any day of the week for a 6 month old watch.

It's like with my 233K. 4 months old when I bought it for $8600 USD ($12k AUD). The RRP is $17k!

No way in hell i'd buy from an AD again unless I did the sums and it stacked up. Doesn't happen often!
