Anybody have thoughts on the Legende vs. World? In the market for a Navitimer as well as a few chronomats.

Legende seems to be the more 'dressy' of the two, but I'm having a difficult time justifying the +/-$3,000 premium (two tone version).

I personally prefer the World over the Legende (I own a silver dial World, and I used to also own a blue dial model too).

I prefer the Navitimer hands over the Monty hands which (in agreement with you) I think are more dressy than the Navi's. I thought about buying a Legende for a long time, and made some serious enquiries, but eventually decided against it.

The Legende wears larger across the wrist due to the integrated bracelet, and it also doesn't have a quickset date function. That, plus the fact that the World just looks more like a classic Navi, swung me in that direction.

While I absolutely LOVE my Navi World (black face, steel), I actually like the face of the MBL better. It's a less "busy" and I like the look of just having two subdials at 3 and 9, with the date at 6.

Part of the reason why I chose the World was to have the option of putting it on a strap, but the real dealbreaker for me was the hands on the MBL. To me, it just made the watch look too dressy.

I too had the same dilemma last year....until I decided to go for the World ( I prefer the name )
If only the Legende had the same hands and markers like the World.....

I tried silver and black TT MBLs on this past Saturday and was about 85% of the way towards buying, but left the AD without pulling the trigger because something....wasn't....right. Still not positive, but I think it has something to do with the size of the face combined with the dial and marker layouts....too much spare room.

Paying another visit tomorrow, maybe one more night of sleeping on it will give me clarity. All things equal, though, this is a great problem to have

I agree on the dressiness. I have a TT havana dial Legende and if I am wearing a larger watch it's usually my watch of choice for dressy occasions. It can be dressed down with a 'business casual' look, but the TT will always look fairly dressy. The all SS is more versatile if you want one for every day.

I prefer the World. I just puchase the silver dial on a brown croc strap. Looks great

I had the same problem so i know exactly what your going through. I ended up getting the World silver dial and love it but the reason i picked this one is because of the options, getting a crock strap for a less flashy look and the Legend bracelet does not look all that great if you look at it while it's on your hand up side down and that's because of the inner and outer links, they make it look like your wearing a wrist strap. I love the Legend and i really considered getting it but the World looks more like an original Breitling and i like the B logo on the seconds hand other than that it's a pretty tough choice so choose well and good luck.....Hope this helps

It's a difficult choice I think.

I've looked at both in detail and couldnt 100% make up my mind.

Ended up with a Super Avenger.

It certainly is. All my watches except one are now on straps.

I've noticed (particularly lately) that there are lots of happy World owners on this site.
