Good to finally see the price on these LE's. Nice going Thomas.

(Oh and what a surprise that it's NOT a B01 variant inside it. Never mind eh?)

Thanks for the info... too rich for me. I'll wait for one to hit the Sales Corner.

I love the stratus silver... that's actually a very similar configuration to what I would have liked for the Forum watch.

I thought it was white but silver is even better. I bet its not a brushed finish though. Given some of the recent dogs dinner offerings from Breitling, I for one am pleased to see the retro design cues extended further, and the SOHC particulalry stands out. I know lots of lingers don't like this watch, but I think Breitling will begin mining a rich vein by going back to their roots with simpler, cleaner cases and dials. Lets have more stylish bling, not tasteless bling, or just bling.

I actually think the price is pretty reasonable.

North American prices will likely be cheaper - as they generally are, and then factor in the discount and it becomes a very affordable option in my opinion - especially for a limited edition run. Of course our European colleagues face the usual challenges that Breitling and their ADs insist on imposing! 1,000 of each colour isn't super limited, but by recent standards it's not bad.

I think you'll find that the colour is white - most Breitling whites are called 'silver'.

Got my e-mail notification from Breitling today (I assume others did) and there's also a blue one - 'Gun Blue' with black subs, so three colours, 1,000 of each.

I personally think this is the nicest SOC design so far.

The cal 17 was too plain for me, the cal 13 too predictable. This one reminds me of the Wempe Navitimer dial - another one of my favourite chrono configurations. Not too plain, not too busy

:)

I'm in Edinburgh for the weekend so I went into Laings on Frederich Street for a look!

They had the black face LE SOHC which had just came in the day before. I tried it on and thought it was a good bit heavier than I thought it would be It was also quite thick as well!
It was on an Ocean Racer strap but I think I would prefer it on a bracelet! They were asking £3850 for it by the way!

Also if anyone's interested they had a SA blacksteel in the shop on a Diver Pro. I think the price was £3950.

Cheers

Andrew
