So what do you guys think is the most popular breitling? Personally I have seen a lot of Breitling Bentlys (who knows if they are real) and I have seen a couple EVO's, 1 navitimer.

Im always looking out for peoples watches to see what everyone has... do you guys find yourself doing the same thing?

Of all time? Navitimer. Currently; Super Avenger. These are strictly my observations. :lingsrock:

For someone like myself who pretty much notice everyones watch cant say that I see allot of Breitling. Of the ones that I do come across is usually a Super Avengers.

In terms of brand history I would guess either the Chronomat and/or Navitimer and with the surge of big watches and its value I agree with the BoneDoc that the Super Avenger is certainly up there.

Well I'm not sure what a Navimeter is BoneDoc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Until recently the Chronomat / Chronomat Evolution has been the biggest seller of the modern Breitlings. The SA has been increasing in popularity but not sure that it would have overtaken the Chronomat.

Interesting. When I saw this topic, I had just thought that the Chronomat is Breitling's perennial best-seller, most-popular, flagship. No?

Hello All !

I would say the Navitimer with the tricompax configuration - black dial / white sub-dials!

Although, I see more people wearig Chronomats - yet it was the Navitimer that put Breitling on the map.

And the Navitimers are ageless they have more or less remained the same since their inception in 1952 - a watch ahead of it's time - no pun intended!!! lol :guns: Also their not as gaudy as some of the chronomats! :poke:

Best Regards,

Enezdez

Much like the other posts, I'd agree that the most popular of all time (i.e. number of sales) must be between the Navitimer and the Chronomat. The thing to remember though is that the Chronomat of today is a very different watch to the original Chronomat, whereas the Navi has remained largely unchanged for half a century. So with the exception of the name I'd argue that the Chronomat hasn't been the same model and thus can't be compared in the same light as the Navi.

In terms of modern pieces, I think it's a little less cut and dried as just saying the SA. Sure it IS a very popular piece, but many "non-watch people" who are looking for one all-purpose peice, still find the SA way too big. From what I've seen in AD's over recent years is many people buying Chronomat models. I personally think that the only thing that puts people off the Chronomat is the cost compared to something like an SO or an SA.

It's an interesting topic, and I for one would love to see some official sales stats from Breitling on this one.

Most AD's i've visited have 1 or 2 SA's and at least 5-10 Chronomats. That tells me all I need to know about which is more popular. I would love to see some numbers, I know it used to be #1 Chronomat & #2 Aerospace, but recently the aerospace has taken a back seat to other models.

I've only ever seen Breitlings worn by two other people over the space of 8 years in multiple countries. One was a friend who had the exact same blue faced Windrider Shadow Flyback (grrr!!) as me and the other was a Starliner worn by my wife's friend. Most people have Tags or Rolexes. Breitlings seem to be very uncommon.

Of the people i personally know that own breitlings in my group of friends the Evolution is the most popular. I know about Seven people with Evo's...Two people with 6.75 bentleys....Four People with S.A. and One person with a Skyracer. These are just the watchs i encounter everyday with my friends wearing them, but overall id say the most common one i see is the super avenger, but i am also a younger man so maybe the age has alot to do with it, i personally have the evoltuon
