My wife has recently started eyeballing Breitlings for herself. She loves the Chronomat, but she REALLY doesn't have the wrists to pull off wearing it. I had suggested something smaller, perhaps a Chrono Cockpit. She took a look through the pics on the Breitling website, but she is REALLY not a fan of romans and she's also not interested in diamond markers. She definitely prefers batons.

A female co-worker stopped by my office today, and she was wearing her Breitling. She had showed it to me quite a while ago back when I didn't know much about the various models. I noticed the size today, and thought that it might be a good size for my wife, so I asked if I could take a good look at it and she handed it over (she had no idea what model it was).

Model number was a13358, blue face with batons, date stamp on bracelet indicated 2007.

I typed the reference number into google, and came up with Chrono Cockpit. I took a peek on the BS site, and a13358 is not listed as a reference number for the Chrono Cockpit. Plus, all the photos shown there are batons.

So two questions - is a13358 and accurate reference number for a Chrono Cockpit? If so, was 2007 the last year that Breitling produced the Chrono Cockpit with batons?

Thanks all for your help,
Keith

Keith - I can't answer your questions - but I wear a CC myself, it's great for a woman! Also, visit http://www.breitling.co.jp and click on "fitting" to try out some different options. Good luck!

Not sure on baton availability but A13358 is definitely a chrono cockpit.

First time that I saw a CC on a woman was the Breitling rep for Canada - I guess if it was good enough for her..........

I saw a MOP on a fuchsia gecko band the other day. It had a really rich look to it. Needless to say it was very feminine. By the way it looks like some of new dials that are featured on the fitting website mentioned above (ijen0311) have baton markers. Looks like you are in business. :)

Thanks for the input everyone.

Didn't think to check out the JP site to see if they brought back the batons for 2009, but sure enough, they're on there!

If only they could update the regular website as fast as the JP gets updated...........

I thought on 13358. 2009 probably have a different ref#, but it also might not.
It started as 13357 in 2004 and became 13358 in 05/06

Bnewbie - correction noted. I was referring to the small square markers as "batons" but clearly they aren't batons.

What is the correct term (if there is one) for that type of marker?

I call them square markers.
Don't know for more appropriate term.
