I have to admit, I sometimes receive a watch without papers or without correct papers from my agent. If they are missing, there is usually a postit on the box, that the papers will follow as soon as possible. That usually happens if Breitling in Switzerland makes a mistake and my agent's employees realise, they sent a watch with the wrong papers. But I have also received watches with wrong numbers on the papers. Nobody is perfect, but You have to check everything. So it can happen.
Only point would be: Is Your AD also a Bentley AD? He does not have to be, but if he is not, he will not get Bentley watches. So, when he buys them from another dealer, that dealer might refuse sending the correct paperwork with the watch, although, it makes no sense.
