I've sold off almost all of my straps. As incredible as they are, I just cannot take the OEM tunnel strap off my 233K.

The great thing about this strap is how it 'frames' the dial. With the domed crystal, as you can probably tell, its extremely
difficult to photograph. In person, there is a similar effect of the crystal and the busy colored straps just complicate it (my
Ted Su Croc's). Unlike the 111K in which the dial is much more 'plain' and can handle a much busier strap. Im hoping to
add a bunch of Simona straps though once she has new stock in June. Lots of pictures here guys.

I really need to get myself a nice macro and tripod though. :D

Absolute stunner!! Jay I have my eye on either the new PAM 320 or the PAM 312, any thoughts on either of these models? Also, it would be my first Panerai.

Well before I bought the 233, I was seriously considering waiting for the 312 to arrive in AD's. For the money I had put aside for the 233, I would have been able to buy another PAM or two. Say a 005 and 24. And in hindsight, that sounds like a nice combo (24, 005, 312). I am impatient though and saw the additional value in the 233 so went that route. The 233 will hold its value nicely and if I went with the 312, I'd have always been craving the 233. The 312 is a nice watch. Great case, display back, movement and dial. It has received some very mixed reviews though. It's supposedly very slightly thicker than the 233, but lacks the domed crystal. Therefore the dial looks a little bigger than the 233. I think a lot of people just prefer the domed crystal. However at $6k+ RRP vs 12k+ RRP, the 312 will fit into many more budgets. The 233 will always hold the crown as the first in house from Panerai which is significant to me.

Thanks for the info and your opinion Jay. I agree with you that the 312 will fit into many more budgets which in my opinion will make it harder to obtain. Which is the reason I have been considering the 320, the extra GMT function which most people dont need anyway adds to the cost and may encourage people to seek out the 312. (Just my crazy hypothesis.) So the 320 may be more available. Either way I like the look of both, and I would be very pleased to end up with either.

I 100% agree. The 320 would be my ultimate choice if I were to purchase from that range (312, 320, 321).

No its from Strap Culture. Kinda like a suede nubuck. :)

I've got my eye on a few of her new straps though.

The more I see pics of the 233, the more I like it. I'd always planned on getting a 270 as I love the 10 day automatic movement, but the 233 is making the decision harder!

I know a lot of Paneristi consider the 270 dial to be a little cluttered with the AM/PM indicator and the number 9 next to the small seconds, but I actually really like it like that. BUT, the 233 dial does look incredibly clean..... Hmmmmmm.

Damn Jay, your pics make it a hard choice!!!

Great pics by the way, and I like the strap too.

my advice...go with the 233. it's cheaper, and to me a panerai should be handwound.

jay those pics are incredible! i could never get the watch to look that good
