Just wanted to introduce myself and my new SOSF, and post a question for you guys...

I've had many watches through the years, from Certina to Omega, and several Rolex - but this is my first Breitling. And I must say - I'm VERY impressed :lingsrock:

First of all I REALLY like how it visually appears less "heavy" than it is. I like the balance between 'toolness', and elegance. Both the lines in the design, and the combination of brushed vs. polished; and of course the light dial helps too - as does the fact that the bezel has a smaller diameter than the case.

What I also like are the attention to practical features, such as the bracelet screws, and how the bezel protects the sapphire - and I LOVE the large polished numbers and frame around the date

As much as I love the bracelet, I'd maybe like to sometimes wear it on rubber. I've searched the forum, and it appears that there are two alternatives(?) - the 'Ocean Racer' and the one with "BREITLING' written on it with large letters.
Between the two I prefer the look of the 'BREITLING' - but the clasp on the 'Ocean Racer' looks fantastic! Is it possible to combine the two - or is there a third option?

Anyway - here's a few pics (of a watch I'm sure you have seen before, but still  ):

And a more Photoshop'ed one

Remember2,

First off Congrats on a beautiful watch!!! In my opinion the Super Ocean is perhaps one of the toughest out there.

I've had my Super Avenger on both the Pro strap and the Ocean racer and I must say for me the Ocean racer is by far the better of the two, I just love the fact that the clasp allows me to achieve the perfect fit. Unfortunately there is no way to retro fit a Pro strap onto the clasp of the Ocean Racer.

Congrats again and wear it in good health :lingsrock:

Thanks :D

...kind of expected that answer about the rubber straps  I'll probably end up with the 'Ocean Racer'...that clasp is just too nice 8)

My word, you certainly know how to take some damn good pictures :camera:

I think the Steelfish is my favourite from my modest collection

+1 for the Ocean Racer.

I've got both straps and i much prefer the Ocean Racer to the Diver Pro, you won't regret buying it.

Cracking shots btw, and nice watch :lingsrock:

Welcome to our (not so little) group, my brother. I've got the exact same watch as you, and I never get tired of wearing it and admiring it. I have an Ocean Racer strap on another watch and it's really fantastic. I think it would look great on your 'Fish. Great pix, by the way. Wear it in good health. :)

Thanks everyone
...I've spend quite some time surfing this site/forum - it is without question a fantastic resource with lots of info - shared by some really nice guys. I'm happy I dropped in :D ...You'll be seeing more of me and my Breitling(s) for sure

For now - I can share my two other divers from my collection.

Longines Legend Diver
...very different from my Steelfish, so they will support each other perfectly.

Wow, love the Sea Devil. Just looked at their site. Most options sold out so true limited edition. PVD with lume dial looks 8)

Bracelet looks a bit naff, but the head is pure tool
