Last night while I was eating dinner, my doorbell rang. I went outside and there was a package sitting out there addressed to me. I wasn't expecting anything, so I opened it and it was my IWC catalog. About a month ago I called an IWC boutique and requested a catalog. Since it took so long, they felt urged to send me an IWC hat, bag, magazine, a handwritten note of appology and the catalog.

Sorry if I am making such a big deal out of this.

This is the first time I posted pictures, so I hope it works :D

I agree, when I opened this and saw the font I was thinking the same thing too. They should have put their traditional logo on the hat.:|

Actually I like it for the very reason it doesnt shout out Brand marketing - I like the low profile approach.

Perhaps one of the very few that I would actually wear this and a Tissot hat that I received a year or so ago....black cap with black letters again low key.

I wasn't going to say anything just incase you loved it NavitimerNut, but I totally agree! I would've expected soemthing much more classy looking than that from IWC!

i think breitling need to take a leaf out of iwc book re the catalog though.

feels like each watch should cost 5k plus rather than breitlings which doesnt send the right message imo

:yeahthat I'd agree. I've always been a big fan of the Chronolog (I've got all of them since the Chronolog started), and I look forward to the new one like some people look forward to a new Harry Potter book! But in the last 9 months or so I've been taking a much greater interest in other manufacturers and some of their catalogs are truly superb - IWC's is more like a novel that a mere catalogue. Another really nice touch from IWC is that all the main head-on pictures of the watches are life-sized, so it REALLY gives you an idea of what they look like in the metal.

JLC's and Blancpain's catalogues are also a bit special aswell.

I eould also recommend Breguet for a quality catalogue - that one's going to cost me some serious coin one day!
