So unobtainable.

The dial, the case, the movement, all perfection.

I have become a real fan of Lange & Sohne recently - this really is an incredible watch. I'm trying to justify one of the more affordable Langes (although that's relative), but not sure that it's going to happen this year.

An affordable Lange? Thats like saying a flimsy Breitling bracelet

Seriousely, great looking watches in their "base" range but other makers such as JLC offer similar quality at a fraction of the price. Like Patek you either go high end or somewhere else in my opinion. The lower end models have nothing truely special about them, but the higher end Pateks and Langes are something to wonder at.

Yes it's a beautiful piece, but as you rightly say Altair, JLC would also be my choice for that kind of watch. Both Lange & Sohne (and Patek for that matter) don't do a huge amount for me.

Yeah but for just a wee bit more you can get a wite gold IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar that has an AMAZING movement, similar ballfield finish and that gorgeous adroise dial, did I say it was a perpetual calendar?

I would still rather get a JLC over the Richard lange and save my potatoes for a more valuable watch (in terms of movement and features)

You can have your pateks, your vacherons, for me Lang & Sohne is THE watch to have! I would dearly love to own one.. WILL own one  :D before I slip this mortal coil and kick the bucket!

I would have anyone of them but if the fairy Godmother is watching and feeling very benevolent then it is this one that is my top pick!

Boy that movement is so awesome I might tend to wear this one upside down so I could stare at it all day long.
