Salesperson says this about the steel/gold version, he also says its a very limited edition and not many being made as its the old style, it could appreciate over time.

Personally I am very suspect that this is true, any help out there appreciated as I am new to buying Breitling,

Thanks

I wasn't aware they are a limited edition, pretty sure they are not and that they are still being made. Though I may not as current as some here, I may actually be a couple of days behind.

Personally it's not a watch that I would buy because it will appreciate, I do like it however.

Ok to be fair he said its not a numbered limited edition, but its limited production as its in the old style Breitling design, hence its not freely available in large numbers so making it desirable, and likely to appreciate.

:yeahthat Sorry to say it, but the salesman is just trying to drum up business. Even proper numbered limited edition Breitlings rarely (if ever) appreciate. The TT Monty Legende (while being very nice) is a standard issue model, so there is nothing limited about it.

It is definitely limited. I can assure you. Its limited to the number that they can sell.

Trust me, if the demand went up, so would the production numbers.

Salesman told my father the ASHTON MARTIN LAGONDA would appreciate in time...... LIKE WHEN....
Salesman told me the Mercedes E320 W210 was the best built car ever made...... THEN THE BIG GUY FROM BENZ APOLOGISED FOR POOR CARS!
Salesman told me my first wife would last forever...... THE DIVORCE PAYMENT IS CERTAINLY LASTING FOREVER!

Typically people sell themselves on this ridiculous concept. It's called "falling in love", which as we know is dangerous when objectively evaluating long-term investments.
