I recently bought my first Breitling in Vegas. I went to 4 different stores and they ALL offered 15% (Tourneau offered 14%) without even haggling.

I just had dinner with my friend tonight. He recently bought a Montbrillant Legende from them and got 3X% off. It looks like I will be buying one in Canada. Can't be bothered with importing one.

Chronomat Evolution

La Swiss
$5000-30%=$3500+12%=$3920!!!

Ebay
$3895+5%GST=$4089.75!!!

Definately gonna buy locally...plus get to try it on and inspect it before I buy.

Good info there blam. I'm in Vancouver as well and my first Breitling was purchased from LaSwiss at Pacific Centre. I got 25% off + taxes with little effort.
I'm on the verge on purchasing my second B'ling from them - hopefully a Navitimer or Montbrillant. I'll see if they can do 30% now :)

I just purchased my first Breitlibg, a Super Avenger, from La Swiss in TO
All I did was asked what the best price they could do was and they dropped the price from $4550+ tax to $3100+tax!
If my math is correct that is a 47% discount
The sales person said this is a very good time to buy and they could work out a very good deal
Heck yeah!

4550 to 3100 is not 47% off your math is wrong cause that's only 32% off and anytime they wanna charge you tax on the full retail price already looks like the salesperson is not giving up his commission plus what ever he's charging for tax is all going in his pocket. If you think about it the watch is being bought from breitling for half the retail because of the amount of watches the buy then the store pays tax for the full amount of their inventory. The store is making on you 800 bucks and 10% goes to the salesperson what ever else the sales person pick up goes all in his pocket so my friend 3100 is a good price but not a penny more.If you live in UK then my apologies cause their system is a big rip off.

I got about a 25% from La Swiss in Montreal on my Steelfish. I thought was pretty good and it sealed the deal for me to get it.

Are taxes charged in Canada if shipping from one province to another?

I received a good discount, but only after the prices went up last june and the store was under renovations. They wanted to sell off their old stock. I got 40% off. But after you take into account the 20% price hike, it is probably around 20%.

Most provinces have two taxes - federal and provincial. The federal tax (5%) is applied, but not the provincial one.

There is a major change coming next year when Ontario (the most populous province) moves to what they call a Harmonised Sales Tax which effectively rolls the two taxes into one and eliminates the possibility of splitting the taxes for out of province buyers.

When I have hooked people up with my AD who are out of Ontario they are only charged 5% tax.
