Congratulations! My first Breitling was a Colt as well. I got it about 20 years ago, when the Colt was actually a bit smaller. It had a rubber strap, which actually lasted me for years. I paid about 675.00 for it then. In 1997, I was trying to replace the rubber strap for steel, but it wouldn't fit the old model. I fell in love with the SuperOcean, which I have now, and my AD took the Colt on a trade-in. I actually got 800.00 for the Colt, and paid another 1000.00 to upgrade to the SuperOcean. The amazing thing, was that I actually got more for the Colt than I originally paid. Of course, you have to take into account inflation and the fact that I was buying up.

There is a lot of information on the Breitling website. I started to look more closely at the Colt Super Quartz II, after reading about you purchase. I made a separate posting about the info on the Breitling website. If you look at all the details (maybe you already have), you will realize that you have more of a watch there than you probably realize.
The more research I do about Breitlings, and the more I compare them to the other brands out there, I begin to realize what a great value their watches are. You can go from about $1500.00 to over $40,000.00 (for gold), and still not compromise quality. Every single model they have has something unique to it that no other model has, which makes it even more special. Enjoy yours!
