Since reading Blingadams post regarding "the Apprentice" and Alan Sugar wearing a Navitimer. I have been watching tv ,but instead of watching the show I find myself trying to identify the watches the men are wearing. After a short time it's becomes addictive, and found myself getting quiet good at recognizing the make and model of the watch they are wearing l.
Am I turning into a watch Anorak? Do I need help or is this normal behavior for a members of our wonderful forum? :poke:

When I look at a woman, I always glance at her....certainly not her wrist

Never used to before, but now I find myself checking out men's watches all the time the now. My wife was starting to get a little worried on vacation last week with the fact that I kept "checking out guys" as she put it.

I must say, it was INSANE last week how many Rollie's I saw. Made me very happy to have a Breitling on my wrist.

So I attended a theater opening in downtown Kansas City Wed night. Tour, technology, free food and drinks, etc...

They showed us 'The Brothers Bloom' (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0844286/) which was just okay, but was great was the watches they wore throughout the movie. The stars in the movie are Adrian Brody and Mark Ruffalo. Throughout the movie, they both wear watches, many time Panerai's (1950's case). There were other really nice looking watches, I just could not identify the make and model.

For those watch dorks out there, it is worth watching.

It is strange that I have started to look at what watch someone is wearing over the last year or so. As I have said before I am constantly on the lookout both on the box and in the street etc. This should come as no great suprise as when I was younger I apparantly (according to my mother!) always used to walk around with my eyes glued to the ground checking out what trainers other people were wearing. I suppose as Ive grown up so have my tatstes and budget, yet I still have the same obsessive nature... :)

I absolutelty do this. As a single data point, it tells me very little about a person, but it sure is fun.

The word "anorak" however, was new to me -- stupid Yank, I know. I learn so much here!

Did any one see "the apprentice" this week. Was Alan Sugar wearing a white gold Daytona?
