Fakes are for people who want everyone to think they have the real thing or yes they would just go and buy a decent fashion watch.
I have a really nice fashion watch by Jasper Conran. I loved the look of it and paid about £80 for it and i still wear it 8 years later. I liked it and i brought it.
I could of brought a fake Breitling, Rolex, Omega etc etc but i would have felt stupid, especially if someone had said "cool watch? Oh it's a fake"

I would also like to add that 99% if not all us on here that have the real thing have worked extremely hard to get what we want and it is our prize and achievement to ourselves and ourselves alone.

Yes it is a really good feeling to know what you have is real and if someone does notice it, it is also a really good feeling because they know you are real too.

This is just how i personally feel.

I own/have owned a few Breitling watches, and without fakes i would have never known of the brand, outside of Rolex there is no brand for the average high end watch buyer, you want a nice watch, you buy a Rolex....how many people on the street have heard of Panerai?.... :|

I don't get your point here.

People say fakes hurt the gen brands,i say that they hurt Rolex but promote the other brands frankly

They hurt every brand.

They are a good help on deciding the right watch for you before forking out big coin on the wrong watch

Visiting numerous ADs and trying the watches helps to decide which is the right watch for you.

And BTW, there's no reason to be rude on someone who doesn't agree with your views, it only tells about your manners.

And I shop at Target / Macy's not Walmart because I really hate purchasing the same item over and over again because the cheap version broke. And no I don't mean toilet paper ;-)

If I can't afford the real deal then I wait until I can. Mom on the other hand shops at Walmart and rebuys the same article 3-4 times over. My name brand DVD player lasted almost 6 years. Her cheap knock offs die every 6-12 months and so far I've spent less.

My Swatch tells time, looks fine and is accurate. My Breitling cost more, looks good and is accurate. I happen to like the feel of the Breitling more.

My MG will cost me more than the price of the Lotus I could have bought but it will be mine, with my design and built with my requirements. I've spent hundreds of hours and so has the mechanic. It's taken me years to get to here and when it is done it won't be a fake Lotus it'll be a real MG. I'm not one of those people who buys a load muffler so my car sounds like it has a $10k engine. I don't care if you know what I spent because I didn't spend the money to impress anyone (if I did I sure wouldn't spend all of this money on an MG ;-)

So if my girlfriend looked like Angelina Jolie would that be the same as if my girlfriend were Angelina Jolie? Hey with some $$ and plastic surgery .... would it be the same? I guess in some peoples eyes the answer is yes, close enough.

This thread is just to funny. I'm done.

This is totally unnecessary. I think we can disagree on this forum without resorting to this.
I fail to see the respect offered here.
