There's been a few threads here recently asking for pics of members, what watches we're wearing this weekend, what cars we drive or what we think of the new B01 and they make great reading and also illicit loads of replies.

I've done a quick search and can't find this subject, so if it's been asked before then please forgive my question........it is this:

Username....why?

Why is In2Deep 'in too deep'?
What drives 'Driver8'?
Bnewbie has 3000+ posts....so why's he a 'newbie'?
Roffensian...great name! where does it come from/what does it mean?
Is acceldebt accellerating himself into debt for our beloved timepiece?
Is Alien an 'alien', does Sharkmouth have the gob of a big scary fish? (Yeah, I know sharks ain't really fish!), is Damnfoolman really a 'bloody stupid male'?

(these are just a few examples, so if you are one of our regular contributors please don't feel left out if you aren't mentioned)

Some usernames can be worked out, like:

Bonedoc - fixes busted bones
Alex** - is 'Alex' (but why the '**')
and others use their 'real' names

Chuckafied is a nickname a friend gave to me after a long night of drinking. It indicates having passed the fubar stage. So this is how I think it goes
1. Buzzed
2.Tipsy
3.Drunk
4.Fubar
5.Chuckafied
Also its a play off my name ,Charlie,but alot of friends call me Chuck

Well "Garfield" was my call sign when I was a helicopter crew chief in the Marine Corps. I also had a Garfield the cartoon cat decal on the visor housing of my flight helmet. The 411 was the side number of the UH-1N Huey I was Crew Chief on while I was in the Marines and during Desert Storm.

There was a thread on this way back when, but so many new members, this is a good idea (but to put my moderator hat on I'm going to move it to Off Topic).

Roffensian is the name of my company, that's the easy answer.

The longer answer is that a Roffensian is someon from the city of Roffa, which is the Roman name for Rochester in Kent, England - where I went to school. Students at the school were known as Roffensians and when I was looking for a company name it sounded kinda professional and it stuck.
