Just found this on the net -

http://www.luxist.com/2009/03/24/jaques ... a-sea-dwe/

Pretty tasty for all you DLC lovers out there. While not being a surface coating fan, I will conceed that this is a very VERY cool looking thing, and I love the red "DEEPSEA" wording on the dial. Only 86 will be made.

Looks great but I think that some of the HC Rollie fans wouldn't like the fact that it's aftermarket.

...and at 12000 Euros, I'd rather not.

Really a beauty! The Rolex Deepsea is one of my favourite Rolexes. However, I prefer the regular stainless myself. Personally, I think the Breitling AS Blacksteel and SA Blacksteel look a lot better. I saw a post of another Rolex recently, that was PVD'd or DLC'c - I can't remember which - and it just didn't look that hot to me.
Also, I am not a big fan of that finish on the bezel, much like the Omega. I don't know what it is, but it looks like it would scratch very easily. The plain old stainless bezel, with rider tabs, that really protects the case and crystal like the Breitlings, would be my choice.
Cheers,
Carl

The Deepsea is definitely my favourite Rolex. If I was ever to own one, that would be it. Nice find D8.
