Sorry to rant but here goes on another forum I offered a watch for sale,After a few days a guy got in touch and said I want to buy the watch how much is it and can I come and collect tomorow night,We agreed a price and he said fine see you tomrow

well the next night came and passed and nothing no email no text nothing,So i think ok never mind and sell it somewhere else

Anyway a week goes by and I advertise another watch and the same guy responds saying,I want to buy but i want to tarde another watch we trade about 10 emails till we finaly get a deal that suits us both.So he says I will come and pick it up tomrorow night OK I say and wait for him to turn up. Well at 9pm I get a text had a drink cant come tonighjt will come tomorow,Ok I say again no problem well the next night again a text I am running late will be there in an hour.OK i say and after an hour a text I am lost my sat navs broke can we make it tomorow,Ok I say but tomorow is your last chance,Ok I want today hes now 4 hours late and wont reply to texts,I now find out the watch he was going to trade me for mine is listed on ebay!!!!.

Is it me or is this guy a total waste of space at what point do you say enough is enough.I have informed the mods of the board but there is no feedback section so I cant leave neg feedback I do feel like creating another ebay account and winning his watch and then not paying or is that childish?

Man, sorry you have to deal with that. My opinion, move on and avoid any dealings. Trading and buying watches with other enthusiasts can be a little nerve racking in itself, and there is no reason to add to it. I recently had a deal (what I thought was all set up) for a Skyland and we agreed on a price, worked out all the details and was just waiting for his paypal account to get setup and the day he was supposed to pack up the watch, he e-mailed me and said he dropped it, made a mark on the case, decided to send it in to Breitling and will end up keeping it. Then I noticed the next two days that all of his posts on various forums listed his watch "sold pending funds, then Sold". Waste of time.
But what can you do? Not much I guess unless there really is a fraudulent transaction.
But, on a good note, I just had a fantastic transaction with a guy on the WUS forums for a Cockpit Lady for my wife. Great communication, honest and a stand up guy. So hope is alive for all of us watch nuts!
I hope all works out with you...there will be many others out there more considerate with your sales!

cheer mate I know there are some good guys around only really dealt with two people on here thats spartan and packrat
one buyer(packrat) and one seller (spartan) both were really smooth and no issues so I know how it should be but there is always the idiots around that spoil it occasionaly.

Unfortunately, this is just side-effect of trying to sell anything to others.

I've had my fair share of being on the receiving end over the years too. It's always a total pain and a waste of everybody's time, but unfortunately for every genuine buyer out there there always seems to be 10 dreamers. But there's not much you can do about it other than just write them off and keeping plugging away until you find someone genuine.

ya stick it would be polite as to what would come out of my mouth and also i would have done it a long time ago haha! You know here is my take on this..

Part of owning the watches we own is when you are looking to trade/sell one its fun to deal with another watch nut and talk to him on the phone after he gets the watch and be very excited/thrilled that he finally received it and thanks you for being honest and trustworthy and you thank him for being and doing the same. What I guess I am saying is that buying/selling/trading is all incorporated with the satisfaction that we get from this hobby! and that guy didnt seem like he would give you any satisfaction, in fact i feel he has already kind of given you a little sour taste in your mouth about selling/trading a luxury watch and none of us wnat that to happen for you! so move on, be the bigger person dont worry about his listing on ebay and have fun with this hobby, life is too short not to!

Karma comes quickly these days

RELISTED DUE TO NON PAYING WINNER. UK ONLY, NO SCAMMERS.

edited by Roff - it's against the rules to post links to your eBay auctions - sorry.

Oh - I misunderstood - I thought it was sonyman's listing that he was relisting because the buyer didn't show.

sonyman - feel free to repost the link if you are just enjoying his misery

Apologies for misunderstanding!!
