I have been looking closely at the current chronomat and the chronomat evolution and am struggling to see any major differences (I hope Im not missing some glaringly obvious things!). Please can someone in the know point out the difference(s) for me?

Thanks.

The Chronomat Evo was introduced in 2004 at Basel and was in the chrononolog and for sale the following year of 2005 (I beieve some were available in 2004 as well.) It was a dramatic change from the previous model of 1984 in that it was much larger at 43.7mm compared to 39mm for the former. The weight went from 79.9g to 120g. Screw down pushers case design and a plethora of other changes were made.

The Evolution in comparison to the Current (not B01) Chronomat is the same watch. Breitling changed the name in 2008 and dropped the Evo tag. Probably where you are confused is that you are comparing the Evolution to the Current Chronomat; different name, same watch for all intents and purposes.
