Thanks Chris. Sadly, Oscar lost his long battle with cancer, but enjoyed life to the full on three legs until he got too weak to carry on.

Sorry to hear that too Armchair. It's horrible losing pets, but if they've had a good life that's the most we can hope for.

Thanks for the sentiment Guys. You're right Driver 8, it's horrible loosing a pet. I've taken all the knocks in life with a stiff upper lip, but the loss of a little animal reduced me to tears. I suppose it's because only they give unconditional love.

+1

With six dogs of a breed that has a life expectancy of 10 years it's something I have to deal with all too regularly, but you never get used to it (and I'm glad about that).

The comment about unconditional lve could not be more accurate - they don't care about colour, sex, religion, wealth, status or any of the other crap that us humans use, they just love you for being you. Nothing better.

I am very sorry to hear that Armchair. I am not looking forward to the day Murphy moves on.. I get depressed just thinking about it. He is my best friend and he never yells back at me, unlike my wife :)

Yes Chris, I can understand how you feel. No matter how many pets you have and love, you will always remember them individually and with affection. At the risk of sounding very emotional and sloppy, here is a poem I dedicated to Oscar. Really its for all pets loved and lost...I will keep quiet now, Sorry for hijacking this thread. :)

dbniner,
He's pure Boston with a brindle coat, we just never had his ears pegged. He thinks he's a person and all that, but he's really a trouble maker, gets in to everything :x

His name is Nicholas, we love him even though he farts(smells like a skunk), and snores(just as loud as my wife). His tongue appears to be to big for his mouth so when he sleeps it's sticking out and dries up like a piece of ham. We try to see how far we can pull it out before he wakes up :poke:

Having had a brief PM with Roff, a fellow lover of the finest, and truest, breed; the Mal-a-mhutt.
The dearly departed Ari and Sasha -- I miss them every day of my life -- both lost within the last 18 months.

Gorgeous pups BoneDoc - I can relate to your loss.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist on the PM stuff.
