ijen,

As far as I'm concerned, that Evo automatically makes
you a Three-Quarter Linger. But I'm not one of the powers
that be, so they may have different standards. :?

Whoever asked if you've ever tried on a SA must be suffering
from dementia. After seeing how that Evo fills your wrist, I
think the only thing you could possibly do with a SA is to wear
it around your waist like a belt. Even then it might be too big. :)
Please forgive my silliness and again welcome to our crew.

Steve

Thanks Steve!

No way on the SA... actually, the Evo feels much too big sometimes itself. It's certainly not a daily wearer!

Just curious, what are the qualifications for Full, 1/2 and 3/4 Ling Clubs? I thought it was based on wether you had a Ling from each group, Navitimer, Aeromarine, Windrider, Professional and Bently.

The wiseguy in me wants to say you're a Ding-a-Ling, but I'm too nice to do that. But with your collection, and the fact you're of the fairer gender you can be in ANY ling group you want. 8)

It's been a while since this was the most important discussion topic on here (thank goodness  ), but it's based on size and whether the watch is on bracelet or strap, or polished or brushed. You can do a search to find the many, many discussions from a year or so back. Full Ling if I remember correctly has to be at least 46mm on bracelet and polished.

Not enough for full ling - definitely half ling.

I can't remember what the definition of 3/4 ling was so not sure if the Evo will get you that.

What I do know is that they are all Breitlings and that's enough 'ling for anyone

But remember... I am a girl... I think I need a different equation

Nope. No gender discrimination here. We're all equal

As a small wrested gent, I don’t know about that! I think a “Full Ling” should have sufficient diameter such that it approximates the wearer’s wrist diameter, lug to lug. Anything much more than that, and the watch starts to look a bit silly.

For example, I tried on a Chrono49 the other day – cool watch, but just too big for my wrist.

I’ve noticed pictures of famous women wearing 40mm Daytonas, and they look cool – certainly not too big. I think a 43mm Evo – especially with MOP and diamonds, is a full ling, on all but a body builder - and then, it would be in another category…batting for the other team.

You got the Full Ling baby!
