Thanks for the pictures. I personally don't like any of B's 2009 models and think that bezel is a crime against the sanctity of the Breitling legacy. I understand the impetus to change, but it strikes me that a focus group may have been a wise choice here.

And agree TOTALLY with Driver 8's thoughts on the Bentley as appropriate forum for the B01 movement.

A couple of questions:

1) Someone posted a flickr link to Basel pictures that seem to show a model with the Blackbird bezel and 6-9-12 chronograph placement. Not sure which offering this is, a new model or change to an existing model...

2) Curious if anyone knows if Breitling are planning to offer the "regular" Chronomat with roman numerals and mother-of-pearl, or any other Chronomat dial changes planned for the upcoming year.

Thanks

I agree. I've always liked the look of the CM49 (and I almost came round to buying one last year), but I always had nagging doubts about the bezel. And as both Aleister and Roff have said, the crown should be on the other side for it to be a true Chronomatic.

The way Breitling are going with their bezels of late - rubber on the CM49, plain weird Buck Rogers styling on the Chronomat B01, hideous PVD(?) on the "Raven" models - I'm half expecting a model to be released with a bezel made of wood..... or maybe potato skins.

I can see a limited edition Blackbird, anybody have any information on this model? It looks just like the regular polished one on Ocean racer.

It looks to be a 'hybrid' of the brushed and polished. The polished version has a fully polished bezel. Its kind of like they put the bezel from a brushed version on a polished version.

I think what makes that Blackbird special is the metal.. it is White Gold.

Look at that Colt bezel!!! THAT is what they should have used on the C-B01 - it is new in style, yet it still has a function.

Looks like it may be a replacement for the chronomat. Its definitely from the windrider line, and looks just like a chronomat. Nice.
