When I travel I wear the watch I'm going to take. I don't see why you would have any problems in customs with that.

Well, at least here in Canada if the watch looks new, they may question you about it. "Where did you get that?" At the Vancouver International Airport, even after you've crossed customs, they will prowl around the baggage pick up area while u are waiting for your luggage and try and spot new looking jewelry and watches and question you about it.. and ask to see your passports again.

People are subjected to random searches and if you are wearing a brand new looking watch, they will ask you where you bought it and whether or not you can produce documentation for that.

Maybe its different where you are, but if you are "picked" by customs, you will have to be able to defend yourself.. its one of those situations where you never think it will happen to you, but once it has happened to you, you'll see it differently after that.

St. Lucia is a wonderful island. My wife and I stayed at Sandals Grande in 2005.

Taking a timepiece with you won't present any problems. In some cases you may have to remove it to be scanned at the airport, so just keep an eye on it. As for storage, most resorts have an in room safe if you prefer not to wear it to the beach. If you do, make sure you rinse in fresh water after a dive or warm, soapy water at night when you're ready to retire.

Have a great trip.

My gf and I are staying at the Windjammer resort, but I hear the Sandals Grande is beautiful.

Also, I travel for business frequently so I am used to taking my Evo off to be scanned and have learned to watch it like a hawk as it goes through. You can never be too careful.

I know where the resort you are staying is located at.

You'll enjoy the area.

Hopefully you are flying into Vigie. If not, it's a two hour trek to Castries from Hewanorra, unless you get St. Lucia Helicopter to fly you into Vigie!

Have a wonderful time!

My AD gave me that case too. I love that little thing, it's perfect. Nice Sunglasses case too if you want it to be.

I wore my SuperOcean for 10 years, every day, and took it wherever I went. I got it in 1997, at that time with the PRO I stainless steel bracelet. The bracelet lasted 10 years, and that is wearing it every day. Apparently the new PRO II is even better. I even wore the watch to work, I work in a print shop doing digital printing, and I have my hand in the machinery all the time. The stainless did get a few scratches, but I like a watch better after it looks a bit worn anyway. I recently had a major service done on the SuperOcean, and the stainless bracelet could not be fixed, so I had a rubber one put on, which looks great. The new stainless would have been about 440.0, so I will wait. I may upgrate the watch to a Blackbird. That has a brushed finish, so I will definitely wear it everywhere all the time.
Cheers,
Carl
