Hello all; just thought I should join this excellent site now that I am the proud owner of a Colt Automatic II with a silver dial and professional II bracelet.

I bought my watch as a Christmas present from me to me (the best kind of present!). After admiring my watch for the last 3 months I've started considering getting a leather strap and am contemplating either brown or black leather. Does anyone have a photo of a Colt, or similar Aeromarine with a silver dial and black leather strap

Welcome aboard!

The Colt is just a classic Breitling model. You will love it for many years to come. Wear it in good health.

Can't help you with the photo, but if you browse/search the gallery, I'm pretty sure you'll find some. I personally love the silver dial and brown strap, but of course, your tastes may vary.

Let's see....three months into it and your shopping for a strap...how long before the next wacth arrives

I know! My wife is a little bored of me constantly staring at it, but I suspect she's pleased that after spending a fair amount on a watch that she sees me getting my moneys worth of enjoyment. However she may not understand wanting to get a new strap so soon.

Welcome! I'm glad you are enjoying your watch. Can't wait to get mine! Can you post some pics of your watch? It's sort of our thing around here.

My wife still thinks this will be my only Breitling for a long time.

Welcome! As I'm sure you already know, lots of great info on here.

As for the wife, I have found that the following helps:
1. bling for wife helps with Lings for my wrist.
2. at first she didn't understand the need for me to get a second watch, but it helped to point out that she has multiple bracelets, multiple rings, multiple earrings etc. How is having multiple watches any different?
3. when you get a new strap for the watch, it's almost like having a new watch altogether - but a LOT cheaper!
4. I remind me wife that my EX-wife ( ) didn't like the idea of me buying an expensive watch. :D

Enjoy your watch and time here on the forum.
