That would be strange indeed.. but possible. It seems to be more popular to change the plates and use everything else these days when customizing movements... ie Panerai, Nomos, etc.

That's because they figured out that it was a lot easier to produce and decorate your own plates than to try and decorate a 3rd party plate - real 'old school' watchmaking where the mechanics were less relevant than the decoration.

Just to clarify.......

The 125th anniversary piece that you linked to doesn't use the B01.
