Baselworld starts March 26 this year. I am assuming (and I may be wrong) from the introduction, that the 25th is the day Breitling is going to announce which watches will get the new B01 movement.

Sounds like it - 'the body' presumably is the watch for the movement. Interesting way to present it though - seems to suggest a new / different case. Sounds like even if it is the Chronomat it's going to be a makeover.

I agree Roff. It really does hint that it is going to be something new.

Made some calls - no one is talking which is hardly a surprise. As far as I can tell there has bee no communication to distributors yet, that may not be the case with BUSA but I don't have any contacts there.

Let's be hoping so! I've not owned a Chronomat in years (right back when I first got into Breitlings over 10 years ago), so I'm desperately hoping for a new B01 equiped model to wow me! Fingers crossed!

I very much doubt that the B01 will be in the Aeromarine line in the first year - too much of a price increase for the 'value' line.

I've already said why I don't think anything in the Aeromarine line will get it - that's the value line for breitling and not the logical place to put a movement that will add around 20% to the price.

The Windrider range is a logical place to put it because the cases are rugged enough to protect any design weaknesses in early versions of the movement, and the Chronomat is the most historic model that Breitling produce - it's been around for 67 years (off and on). The rumour of it being the Chronomat hasn't yet been confirmed though so it may be something else, or it may be a totally new model - the Professional line is the 'leading' edge side of Breitling and it's very light on models so maybe there's a new model in that line up carrying it.

Oh this is exciting!

I think Breitling will have a few models to show off at Baselworld this year.

With a B01 - I somehow doubt that.

I said nothing about a B01.
