Hi to all,

I just wanted to know if its just me but is it possible no matter what you do no matter how careful you are that the crystal always ends up getting dirty everyday with lil oil spots or something in that origin.
I clean my watch practically everyday specifically for this reason.. Sometimes it looks like water splashed on it and there is all lil specks, and it gets really annoying I never noticed this on my other watches…

im sorry for the wierd question  but it bugs me like hell. :x :x :x

thanks!

The downside of an topside AR coating is that it highlights greasy marks (my fingerprints usually!) far more than an uncoated crystal. Nothing you can do unfortunately - thats the way it is.

It also gets scratched a lot more easily than other non-AR coated watches... I got 2 tiny scratches on my SA crystal (1 month-old watch) and had to send it to Breitling (in Toronto) to have it replaced. Cost me some serious $$$...

I find that interesting. I've had my CA for three years and I wear it everyday, not one scratch on the AR (probably will happen tomorrow now), quite a few dings though.

Me too - I've never had a visible scratch on a sapphire crystal AR. If you look under a 12x loupe you can see imperfections, but nothing to the eye.
