It's like banning the sale of guns because they can be used to commit crime. No offence is committed until it is too late.

I know, I know.... it just makes me mad since I can almost bet a finger on that some shady individual will buy them.

I've given some thought to actually buying them and destroying them, but it'd be a bit like putting six, one-hundred dollar bills in my shredder, for the greater good of man. If I thought a few of us could afford to go in and buy them, that'd be different.
I don't necessarily agree with the comment about these books being compared to guns...While I think they could be a nice addition to a gun collection, id est, for target practice, these books can only be used in a negative manner, and that is certainly not the case with guns. If the buyer is going to buy them to collect, then you may have a point, but overall, I would say that is not what draws anyone to the sale...heck, and by the looks of the topic, not even one of our own!
So, either way, I've contacted BUSA to alert them on this particular auction, in hopes that they will do something about it. I'd like to think they'd round up the books, and then contact the owners to get their side of the story. I know B probably has a guy that sits on the bay all day and looks for the crap that's listed, but just in case they missed it, they've got an email about it also...good spot, bnewbie! :lingsrock:

He seems to make a living selling unlock codes for stolen radios and car tachometre change devices, so that shows what kind of scum the guy is.

If Breitling does nothing, and I will post the return email I get, I think we should buy them and track down the owners...thoughts? :guns: :guns: :guns: :nutkick: :nutkick: :nutkick:

You never know, they could have been lost for perfectly legitimate reasons. Heck, maybe even Driver8's lost Steelfish papers are in there? ;)

No, seriously, unless someone is collecting only the papers I don't see any good coming out of this.

Regarding guns, this might be a sore point, but I completely understand the comparison. Making guns available for public Joe have never resulted in anything good.

With the notable exception of the United States of America. The only colony to ever sucessfully defend it's own declared sovereignty against a world power. Governements truly do prefer unarmed peasants. :guns:

For any gun purchased by a civil person, there's a huge risk that the gun sooner or later will end of in a criminal's hands. Just by thinking you can protect yourself by having a gun quickly increases the overall violence spiral. The only thing it will lead to is that people wanting to hurt you in the first place will use excess violence against you.
