I finally have it!! Those of you who read my rambling know I have wanted this watch for ages now and it has always eluded me, it was either unavailable or I was unable to buy it. I have a folder on my desktop with over 50 images of it, I have spent countless hours admiring the sheer genius of it's design, the perfect blend of its functionality, and just the whole package that is this marvelous watch.

When my AD finally called and said I could pick it up right now, and it was a K series, I drove over like a mad man. While walking to the car with the Panerai bag I just could not believe that I am now the owner of a brand new Luminor Manifattura 8 Days, AKA the PAM 233!!!!

I can't say count how many things I love about this watch, the 1950 case, the in house manual movement, the sandwich dial and amazing lume, the 8 days power reserve, the domed crystal, the ingenious day/night indictor, quick strap change system, GMT hand, auto second reset, quick date change, the sheer beauty of its perfectly balanced design, the list just goes on!!!!

There are very, very few watches I think have a perfect design. This one is at the top of the list!!! I can't tell you guys how happy I am!!!!!!!!!

I have been nursing a cigar from the Millennium celebration in Cuba for nine years now in my humidor, I promised myself I would light it up when I got the PAM233. So sorry about the quick pics but I need to get puffing! Trust me, there will be many more pics in the future!

Wow!!!

The watch may not be my taste, but the sentiments come through loud and clear. A very hearty congratulations - I know it's been a bit of a roller coaster year, but this truly is a highlight.

Enjoy!

Awesome stuff Altair my man!!

FANTASTIC piece! With my (relatively speaking) new found appreciation for all things Panerai, the 233 (along with the 275, and my own personal favourite, the 270) is a truly beautiful and desirable piece.

Many congrats, and enjoy that cigar! Have puff for me too! :D

Another gorgeous watch Altair :D Something about some PAM models that's just so "right" Yours has that "rightness" in spades.

The photo's are rather lovely too...a little moody and very much in keeping with the watch; nice!

Thanks all, I still can't believe I own a 233. Seems too good to be true. LOVE THE WATCH!

Sorry I do not have my light box with me, so these pics are not very good but it should do for now:

Hey Altair, that looks great on the wrist, but I've got ask - why the change of strap already? I think the sculpted calf leather the 233 comes with is awesome.

Although I agree the strap is very high quality, I am not crazy about the feel/look. So experimenting with all sorts of straps, got it on the Ted Su and it is amazing

I ordered a very, very special strap for it. Should be here in a week!
