I do like mesh a lot. Please imagine this watch on a mesh - I think it's best on mesh (at least among metal bracelets, and like all Navitimers, including the Aviastar - I'm sure I had a mesh for my Aviastar if there was one with 22 mm, don't wanna go for an after-market one though).

In turn, I could easily imagine some other steel bracelet option for the Superocean Heritage series, proII, Pilot or Navi style...

Just my two cents. Regards: Robertus

I am with you guys. The bracelet looks awfull.

Now the watch itself is just perfect

I would not change a thing (other than add 1-2MM to the size)

The best design of any Navitimer I ever saw! I thought Breitling could never hit the same design balance as in the 6.75/GMT but they did it again and its a Navi :lingsrock: :lingsrock:

Really looking forward to this one.

I would like to try it on my wrist before making a like/dislike opinion. I don't think it looks bad in the picture. I haven't seen the whole picture either. What is the clasp like?

I'm a little ambivalent on the watch - need to see it in person I guess. I have two problems with the bracelet - the holes look straight rather than angled as they are on the OR, which to my mind makes the holes look too big, and secondly I imagine that the bracelet is not going to be flexible, which may well affect comfort.

I have cash put aside to be able to pull the trigger on a 2009 LE immediately it's announced, but this one didn't have me reaching for my wallet.

As I wrote in a previous topic - I like the bracelet from the picture, too.

I hope I will be able to see it for real in Basel - I'll report back then to you all then...

:D

According to the press release: "satin-brushed and polished surfaces is teamed with a highly original new bracelet called Air Racer – a rigid perforated wristband that pays tribute to a 1960s modern design icon" Its a bit ambiguous, but sounds like it could be interesting.

It doesn't sound very comfortable, but I would bet that Breitling has designed it in such a way that it is indeed comfortable. Personally, I can't wait to see it. If I could afford it, and get my hands on one, I would love the whole watch. However, for me, my 09 Seawolf satisfies me more than I thought it would, now if I could see it on the new Air Racer bracelet, who knows! I guess we will have to wait till after Basel for the strap to appear.
Cheers,
Carl

I'm with the majority here! Saw it last week on Breitling's website and the first reaction was that the bracelet doesn't fit the look of the watch or brand, but to each his own!

I'm also with the majority - looks fairly ugly in the picture but then I'll withhold final judgement until seeing it in person...faterall looks can sometime be deceiving

Also have to agree that that is a great vomiting emoticon :D

I'm with you, I also would like to see it in person before making any decisions. I had a discussion with my AD a few days ago, asking if he would get any pieces to display. I thought that was reasonable, as he is one of the major ADs in Japan. But, unfortunately, he said the only way to see the watch in person is to order one and pay the deposit - otherwise he won't be able to have it shipped to him. I would understand this if it was a LE of 100, 200 or so, but not for a LE of 2009. I certainly don't like it that much that I'd pay a committing deposit without trying it on first.

So I guess, the only way to decide if it is for me would be if it turns out to be unpopular and less than 2009 persons worldwide decide they have to have one. Then, I guess, they would be sent out to the major ADs for display (and purchase in the shop).

Of course, you can also order it with a strap, but I think that you then miss some of the idea with this LE.
