I'm going with the Evo. Can't wait for it to arrive. Here's a pic.

BTW, I haven't figured out how to insert a pic directly into the post. I know how to do it via an attachment. Any help would be appreciated.

I feel the exact same way about the Evo I'm waiting on

Tough decision. Both are great timepieces. I tried both on and it was the Blackbird for me.

Agreed, the BB is by far the most striking model, perhaps the only stunning watch in the whole chronomat range. The rest is just average. Which one did you get in the end?

Spartan hasn't been to the site in more than 2 1/2 years so you may not get a reply.

I'd take the Chronomat Evo b/c you're probably going to have to buy a pre-owned version at this point. The Blackbird watches on bracelet seem to sell for a lot more than the Evo. Plus, with the Evo you have so many more dial options.

I'd go with a big date BB myself.

BB since I am not a fan of 6, 9, 12 o'clock sub-dials. Actually the BB looks nicer on photo since it's blown up. Doesn't look that special on the actual thing since the Big Date doesn't look that big anymore. However I must say that the Evo bezel is more useful in our daily lives most of the time as compared to the BB compass bezel. But aesthetically speaking, BB for me.

I find the compass usefull on a sunny day :-).

Edited info on how to use the compass

Ya but won't get to use the compass in our daily lives unless yr profession requires it. Anyway I just went to try on the BB yesterday, to my surprise it didn't look that good on the wrist. But still I'm a fan of Big Date complication. Hope they will input the in-house into the BB one day which I think they will. No no I hope they won't or my wallet will be threatened... :nana:
