A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Lings are meant to be robust, hardcore instruments for professionals that have been carved from steel. If you put a rubber or leather strap on your Ling you are breaking that incerdiably and exquisitely crafted chain and putting in a weak link (the strap). It wont be long before the watch just falls off your wrist and hits the floor because the leather or rubber has now decided to come to the end of its life.

I wouldnt be comfortable driving my car if I knew the floor of the car was made of leather or rubber, the same applies to my watches. I need to know that the watch is anchored to my wrist with the same metal that bridges and buildings are built with.

SS all the way!

I think the Excalibur looks like a piano keyboard. It might look better in real life, but I doubt it.

Grey,

I'm hanging on to my SA and my 52" Aquos too. I can tell you that once you get the 52" Aquos you will also need a Blue Ray player. After you get the Blue Ray player I recommend you get some blue ray movies and you will be blown away by the 1080-P picture.
