Which, if any, of the Navi's have a quickset date function?

and

Are any of the Navi's water proof?

As far as I know, NO Navi's are waterproof, just splash-proof. So, please, don't go swimming with your Navi.

On the quickset date, I'll have to pass.

Never submerge your Navitimer. I've heard the water resistance is not accurate.

What do you mean by quickset date?

I think all current navi's have the quickset date function



The quickset date function is the ability to advance the date without having to move the main hands through a 24 hour cycle. (i.e. it's the thing you shouldn't do between 10pm and 2am!)

Although I wouldn't do it after reading all the warnings but if your watch has a quickset date can you do it during those hours? Just wondering if that is another quickset benefit.

No you definitely should NOT change the date using the qucikset function between those hours. It's the quickset part that can get damage if you do.

If you find you need to change the date between 10am and 2am, then do it the old fashioned way by advancing the time until you are well past 2am, and then if needs be you can use the quickset after that.

I cannot imagine a reason why I would ever HAVE TO change the date at that time. I will not be taking any risks. Thanks for the info driver.

The only current movement that I am aware of that Breitling uses that does not have a quickset date is the Caliber 23. So the Current Navitimer (standard one) and the Navitimer Montbrillant Legende do not have quickset date. Otherwise the previous "old navitimer" with the Caliber 13 and the 12,9,6 subdial layout has a quickset date.

That is a craqppy thing, IMO, about the new Legende. That one you just got is absolutely fantastic looking, but since I will only wear my one and only (not bought yet) Breitling every once in a while.... I worry about the date being off.

I may have to scratch it off the wish list and go with a Datora or back to an EVO as my front runner. Although I love the look of the Navi's, I dont like the no water proof deal.

I dont mind it.. it is an inconvenience, but then so is an automatic movement in general. I have watchwinders for all my watches anyway.. so if you keep them on one its fine.

Also, you can switch the date by moving the time between 9pm and 12am back and forth and the date will change.. its not as bad as it seems.
