I just received my invitation to a Breitling dealer event this weekend at Hannoush Jewelry here in K.C. I have not been to one of these before and I am wondering what to expect. Have any of you gone to one? The event runs from noon to five (the full day for them on Sat.). Should I go at a certain time? Any advice on the day is appreciated.

From different AD events I've been to, my only advice is to pop by in person or call them, and ask what you can expect. I've been to events where there were fishing trips (obviously not a good idea to arrive late - the boat will not wait for you) and events that have been for several hours, but contained beer/snacks/looking at watches... On the later event, you can come when it suits you.

So, just to make sure you don't miss something you would have liked to participate in - call them and ask in advance... :)

chance97,

A friend of mine goes to those events at a jewelry store down here and he says it is something you SHOULD attend. As I understand it when these events are sponsored by the dealer in cooperation with the manufacturer you can get really good deals on purchases. I don't know if that's the case where you are but it wouldn't hurt to check it out. Bring your credit cards.

The guys are right, AD events are definite musts in terms of attendance if you get an invite. I've been to a couple myself and they are great opportunities to chat people from Breitling, other watch fanatics (who will invariably be there in force!), and also get yourself known to those who can cut you a great deal at your AD! And you will probably get hold of a few freebies too - hats, books maybe, that kind of thing.

As the others have said, give you AD a quick call in advance to see what the format (and dress code) is, and then you can't go wrong.

OK, the event was good! They had a display with 8 new models two of which were Bentlys. I did not memorize all the new models though. I spent about an hour looking and trying on everything. They were taking about 25% off for that one day only! It was a great deal but I did not come prepared to buy. It has only been 3 months since I bought my SA so I have to wait. They had beer, other drinks and finger foods. They had everyone put their names in a drawing box and were going to draw for prizes at the end of the day. I have not got a call yet so maybe I didn't win? They are very helpful, polite and NOT pushy at all. I will do my B business with them in the future. The dealership is Hanoush jewelers in Overland Park KS. if anyone is ever in the area

chance97,

Do you remember enough about it to describe those 2 new Bentleys ? I would be very interested in hearing about that.

All i really remember about them is they were square like the flying B. Im not really interested in the square ones so I didn't even ask the names. Sorry. Maybe they were just new versions of the flying B?

There are two new Flying B's that came out.. the Flying B No.3 which is smaller that I tried on and the new Flying B Chrono which is the same size as the original one, but I have never seen one in person yet. I've love to see one. There are nice details about the higher end Bentley Lings.. like Mother of Pearl Indexes and stuff.

Admin,

If you look at the Breitling technical data on those Flying B's it says the regular FLying B is 57.3 MM from end to end and it says that the Flying B Chronograph is 58.2 MM, this would mean we need to get Flying B Chronograph, plus the fact that it has the sub dials and the others don't. I think you need to pick one up and then let us all know what the deal is.

Brian it's a rectangular shape and the 58.3 MM is from end to end.
