I purchased my first ling yesterday but just have to wait for it. Wanted a none display model and one with a 09 build date on watch body and bracelet. I went with the SA with black dial, black subs and baton markers all on the pro 2 and the standard bezel!!! AD said it might take a month or two until he starts to see watches with the 09 dates? Any tips on taking care of it and proper use of all the functions would be great! Also the AD said that the chrono could be started, stopped and reset while underwater is this true?
Thanks Again for all your help
Cory

Welcome to the forum.
Your AD should know that operating pushers under the wather can be done only with CA M1 and CSW because they are the only models with magnetic pushers. SA don't have them.

Congrats. Waiting is going to kill you. On the plus side, you should know everything there is to know about the SA by the time it arrives

Congratulations!

The wait will feel like an eternity, but opening the box after that time will reward your patience.

Your AD is wrong, you'll destroy your watch if you use the pushers under water. If he insists, make him a bet - if your watch floods while operating the pushers under water, he will have to give you a replacement SA plus another watch of your choice...

Well done! I know the feeling because you've chosen exactly the same model that I'm waiting for...

That really pisses me off that any person working at an AD would tell someone that the pushers can be engaged under water.

I'd be calling that AD back and speaking to the MGR about that.
(if it wasn't the MGR that told you that)

those idiots could have ultimately cost you thousands of dollars had you not asked the guys
here on the forum.
Breitling wouldn't have covered it if you went on what you were told and pushed the chrono
pushers under water and ruined the watch.

I'd be raising hell at the AD for being told some bogus info

on a different note, congrats on your SA.. you will love it!
i have that one on Ocean Racer and it is hot hot hot.

He probably read something about the Chrono Avenger M1 and thought it applied to all Breitling Aeromarine Chronographs

Ya and he probably wears a Timex that he bought that was on the same shelf as the Doritos in Target.
