Hello all. I am the proud new owner of a Steelfish, and very happy of my choice! I have one question about the watch which IS bothering me since ive handled the Sea Wolf and notice a difference with the screw down crown. The Sea Wolf as you know has the titanium crown which completely locks into place when screwed down. The Steelfish I own does NOT completely lock down. I go to push and screw the crown in which is nice and smoth... but it doesnt seem to reach a lock or a point where as on the Seawolf where that thing is not moving anymore. Is the crown on the Steelfish not supposed to lock into a certain spot? To clarify... I can unscrew the crown.. pull it out to the date set and time set.. push it back in and everything runs nice. The only qualms I have is in comparison to the Sea Wolf.. the 'screwdown' is not the same to me. Thanks for any insight on this.

No it does not lock. The manual says to not overtighten. As long as you screw it tight and there is resistance, it will be enough to energize the o-ring seal. Nothing more is needed. I screw mine until it cannot be turned anymore. It is never too tight because I can unscrew it without any problems.

When I had my steelfish I was able to tighten it until it hit the metal and it never seemed like it was too tight. It doesnt "lock".
