It's been a long time in coming gents. I had to deploy overseas with the military just to afford this watch - which is to say, I had to go to war to get my Breitling :guns:

Sorry about the really bad quality photos. I just moved and can't find my tripod.

Anyway, here's a Breitling Chronomat Evo and a Hamilton X-Wind. I've replaced both watches with different bracelets. The Breitling is on the Ocean Racer strap and the Hamilton is on the Khaki Field Canvas strap.

Doubt it. Looks black in the first two pictures. That last one just has too much flash.

Maybe - I'm hardly the photography expert.

the day/date display on the left of the watch rather than the right really threw me off for a second. The chronomat looks great as always... but would look even better on the braclet or corocdile strap....

I can confirm that the OR strap is in fact black. I'm horrible with photography, sadly, so I think the image came out a bit gray.

Also, I posted a couple snaps of this on the watchuseek forum and most people seemed to prefer the Hamilton. I thought that was interesting.

I think in retrospect I should have gotten the day date Headwind. Still, I really like the CE. I think it looks really smart on the OR.

Regards

Tells you all you need to know about WUS right there

I'm joking people - really!!

The Hamilton is a nice piece for sure, and a very historic name.

I have to say that Hamilton does look nice on that canvas strap.... and usually I'm not a canvas strap fan. But in this case it seems to suit it very well indeed.

But the WUS people are wrong - the Breitling is WAY nicer!

The Hamilton has some thickness to it, so it might look nice with a Gunny Strap!

Yeah, I think you're spot on with that. Particularly the tan colored one

Caitlin 1 Series
Price: $89.99 includes shipping with std air reg internationally, without buckle.
Thickness: +/- 5mm, 3 layer.
Style: Distressed/vintagized, raw-cut edges.
Availability of material: Available.
Waterproof: Never been tested.

It's got a very rugged look to it which would suit the Hamilton well I think.
