lol.. Panerai is a little bit of an addiction really.

You gotta be nuts to spend the money they ask for a manual wind watch but I just love it.

The Panerai is growing on me more each day! The Historic series Luminor Base PAM112 is a big passion of mine just now.
I have been looking for some time for a beautiful watch with a minimalist dial, no complications, simply hour and minute hand. Also one that is rugged in the sense of a diver's watch. This is the one! I don't know how long it will take me, but eventually I will have one. I joined Paneraisource.com last night, so I will spend some time on there now.
Your post and all your excellent photos have been part of the inspiration for me!
Cheers,
Carl

Check out www.paneristi.com, don't bother with PaneraiSource.

:yeahthat Another heretic!

PaneraiSource just lacks the membership numbers at the moment, but as a forum I personally much prefer it to paneristi - primarily because I find the thread structure on PS so much easier to navigate (because is PHPBB3 like this place).

Only just seen this thread. Well done Jay, the 111 is the one I'm interested in too. Great photos by the way.

I was also told AUD retail of $6,400. Seems low to me given recent events, I wouldn't be surprised to see something like a 20% increase pretty soon. Just as well the ADs near me don't have one or I'd really be in a dilemma...

We are getting a 10% min price rise in April on Panerai in Australia.

Oh and take it easy on my previous comment guys - Paneristi is where everyone hangs out.

No offense meant to the board operator of PaneraiSource of course.

And for the record, I bloody hate the forum layout/format of Paneristi also.

I'm sure admin won't mind - he hasn't banned you yet

I think Paneristi was one of the reasons that he started PaneraiSource anyway - for an 'alternative environment'
