What do you guys think of Regional Forums?

How about adding sub sections in the Feedback Forum? I can see what you are trying to achieve and it makes sense for people to be able to post questions about AD's etc in their specific region, possibly do the same in the Sales area. Alternatively you could ask people to mention the region in the post title for example, if I wanted to sell one of my prized posessions (heaven forbid) to the UK only (and let's face it with the plumeting exchange rates what's the point in cross 'border' selling!), I could make the title like this:

FS - UK - Breitling Cosmonuate

Just my 1.3 cents worth!

But its not about splitting the community.. its about when someone comes here to ask something that is specific to an area like "What's it like dealing with La Swiss in Pacific Centre?".. then a region specific forum would be more useful for stuff like that. I think you guys are misunderstanding my intentions.. I'm not making a section called "UK Discussion" and having only UK people post there and no where else. This is for Region specific questions that people in another region are very unlikely to have a clue about kind of thing.

OK admin, to that end how about a forum with region specific questions. Subdivided however you would like geographically. Bnewbie might like his own Croatia sub-forum, who knows. Just titled "Regional Breitling Questions" with the subforums based on region. Just a thought to address the problem you note without breaking up the band, man. :mrgreen:

Like I said above, I like the idea. The exisiting Board Index topics remain and all are free to post in them. I see no harm in adding Usergroups or additional Board Index topics which are specific to regions, which allow for more streamlined access to information.

I do think that an idea of being able to ask region specific questions makes sense - not completely sure we are big enough yet, but a single forum called 'regional questions' or 'geography specific questions' might make sense at some point.
